워디(Wordy) 개인정보처리방침
초등 필수 영단어 800 학습 앱 ‘워디(Wordy)’는 키즈 카테고리 정책을 철저히 준수하며 아동의 개인정보 보호를 최우선으로 생각합니다. 본 방침은 워디 앱 내 설정의 ‘고객 지원’ 메뉴에 공개되어 언제든 확인하실 수 있습니다.
1. 수집하는 정보 및 수집 방법 워디는 아이들의 개인정보 수집을 최소화하기 위해 노력합니다.
- 게스트 회원 (초기 진입 시): 앱 최초 실행 시 개인정보 수집 없이 익명 로그인(Firebase Anonymous Auth)을 통해 닉네임과 캐릭터 정보만 설정하여 학습을 시작합니다. 생년월일, 성별, 실제 이름 등은 절대 수집하지 않습니다.
- 가입/구독 회원 (계정 연동 시): 유료 구독이나 데이터 영구 저장을 위한 회원가입 시, 보호자 확인을 거쳐 ‘부모님의 이메일 주소’와 ‘비밀번호’만을 수집합니다. 아이의 실명은 요구하지 않으며 앱 내에서 사용할 별명(닉네임)만 설정합니다.
- 학습 데이터: 단어별 학습 횟수, 오답 횟수, 획득 포인트 및 누적 경험치(EXP), 5대 지표(뜻, 철자, 듣기, 말하기, 문장) 점수 등 앱 이용 과정에서 생성되는 데이터가 수집됩니다.
- 음성 처리 (STT): 5단계 말하기 훈련 시 기기 내장의 STT(Speech-to-Text) 엔진을 사용하여 발음의 ‘신뢰도 점수(0~100점)’만 수집하여 분석합니다. 아이의 실제 음성은 서버로 전송되거나 녹음 파일로 저장되지 않습니다. (키즈 정책에 기반한 자체 엔진 처리)
2. 수집한 정보의 이용 목적 수집된 정보는 다음의 목적을 위해서만 사용됩니다.
- 학습 서비스 제공 및 동기화: 기기를 변경해도 Firebase 원격 DB를 통해 기존의 포인트와 학습 진도를 잃지 않고 ‘학습 이어하기’를 제공하기 위해 사용됩니다.
- 리그 및 랭킹 시스템 운영: 주간 리그 조 편성 및 실시간 랭킹 리스트 표출을 위해 유저의 ‘닉네임’, ‘캐릭터 이미지’, ‘누적 경험치(EXP)’가 다른 유저들에게 노출됩니다.
- 맞춤형 복습 제공: 유저의 약점 영역 및 오답 데이터를 분석하여 ‘약점 콕콕’, ‘오답 싹쓸이’ 등의 맞춤형 스마트 복습 환경을 제공합니다.
3. 아동 보호 및 부모님 게이트 (Parental Gate) 워디는 아동이 실수로 개인정보를 입력하거나 결제하는 것을 차단하기 위해 **’부모님 게이트’**를 필수적으로 운영합니다.
- 회원가입, 구독 결제(이용권 선택), 계정 관리, 비밀번호 재설정 및 탈퇴하기 메뉴에 진입할 때는 반드시 산수 퀴즈(예: 34 + 12 = ?) 등의 보호자 확인 절차를 통과해야 합니다.
4. 개인정보의 안전성 확보 조치 (보안)
- Firebase Firestore Security Rules를 엄격하게 적용하여, 로그인한 유저 본인(고유 식별값 UID)만이 자신의 데이터를 읽고 쓸 수 있도록 권한을 통제합니다.
- 비밀번호 재설정은 앱 내에서 직접 알려주지 않고, 부모님 이메일로 공식 재설정 링크를 발송하는 안전한 방식으로 관리합니다.
5. 개인정보의 파기 (회원 탈퇴)
- 게스트 회원: 기기를 변경하거나 앱을 삭제할 경우, 저장된 학습 데이터와 익명 계정 정보가 영구적으로 함께 파기됩니다.
- 가입 회원: [설정] > [계정 설정]의 ‘탈퇴하기’ 메뉴를 통해 언제든 계정 소유권 및 데이터 삭제를 요청할 수 있습니다. 부모님 게이트 통과 후 탈퇴가 완료되면, 서버(Firebase)에 저장된 이메일과 모든 학습 데이터는 즉시 영구 삭제됩니다. (단, 구독을 단순히 ‘해지’하는 경우에는 재구독 시 이어하기가 가능하도록 학습 데이터가 보존됩니다.)

Privacy Policy for Wordy
Wordy strictly complies with Kids Category policies and considers the protection of children’s privacy our top priority. This Privacy Policy is accessible at any time through the ‘Customer Support’ menu within the app settings.
1. Information We Collect & How We Collect It Wordy strives to minimize the collection of personal information from children.
- Guest Users (Initial Entry): Upon first launching the app, users begin learning via anonymous login (Firebase Anonymous Auth) without providing any personal information. We only require the setup of a nickname and character. We do not collect birthdates, genders, or real names.
- Registered/Subscribed Users: When linking an account for subscription services or permanent data storage, we collect only the “parent’s email address” and “password” after the user passes a Parental Gate. Children’s real names are strictly prohibited, and only the nickname is used within the app.
- Learning Data: We collect data generated during app usage, such as learning counts, incorrect answer counts, earned points, total EXP, and scores across 5 indicators (Meaning, Spelling, Listening, Speaking, Sentence).
- Voice Processing (STT): During the Speaking training step, the device’s built-in STT (Speech-to-Text) engine is used. We only collect the ‘Confidence Score (0-100)’ returned by the engine to analyze pronunciation. The child’s actual voice is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
2. Purpose of Information Use The collected information is used solely for the following purposes:
- Providing and Synchronizing Services: To maintain learning progress, points, and support the “Continue Learning” feature across devices using Firebase remote DB.
- League & Ranking System: To operate the weekly league, the user’s ‘nickname’, ‘character image’, and ‘Weekly EXP’ are displayed to other group members.
- Customized Reviews: To provide personalized smart review sessions (e.g., Mistake Conqueror, Radar Booster) by analyzing the user’s weak areas and incorrect answer data.
3. Child Protection & Parental Gate Wordy operates a mandatory ‘Parental Gate’ to prevent children from accidentally entering personal information or making payments.
- Accessing critical menus such as sign-up, subscription payment, account settings, password reset, and account deletion requires passing a parental verification step, such as a math quiz (e.g., “34 + 12 = ?”).
4. Security Measures
- We strictly apply Firebase Firestore Security Rules so that only the logged-in user (identified by UID) can read and write their own data, strictly controlling access.
- Password resets are securely managed by sending an official reset link directly to the parent’s email, rather than handling it within the app.
5. Data Deletion (Account Withdrawal)
- Guest Users: If the app is deleted or the device is changed, the anonymous account and its saved learning data are permanently destroyed.
- Registered Users: You can request account deletion at any time via the ‘Delete Account’ menu in Settings. Once the Parental Gate is passed and deletion is complete, the email and all learning data are permanently removed from our Firebase servers. (Note: Simply ‘unsubscribing’ preserves your learning data so you can continue where you left off upon resubscribing).
